MarketPulse Intelligence ("we","us","our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information at marketpulseintel.com.
Information We Collect
- Name and email address
- Phone number, if you choose to provide one (account contact only)
- Business name and dispensary preferences
- Your store's Michigan license number, and the IP address and time recorded when you accept the data ownership terms to request a free report
- Payment info (processed by our payment processor; we never store card numbers)
- Usage and log data
Sign-in Verification Codes
Sign-in verification codes are sent to the email address on your account. We do not send SMS text messages.
How We Use Your Information
- Account creation and management
- Sign-in verification by a one-time code sent to your email
- Generating competitive intelligence reports
- Confirming that free reports go only to licensed Michigan dispensaries, and keeping a record of the data ownership terms you accepted
- Payment processing and receipts
- Reminder emails before your subscription ends
- Transactional emails (welcome, reports, account updates)
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data. We share only what each trusted provider needs to do its job: Supabase (database), our payment processor (payments), Resend (email), DigitalOcean (hosting) and Anthropic (AI writing of report text; it receives market and competitor data and your business name, never payment details).
Data Security
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, hashed passwords, and strict access controls to protect your data.
Data Retention
We keep your account data while your subscription is active. If your subscription ends and is not renewed, sign-in is paused and your data is kept for 7 days so you can renew without losing anything, and we send a final notice by email on the last of those days. On the 8th day after your end date, your account, reports, competitor list and history are permanently deleted from our systems, and backup copies are overwritten within 7 days after that. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time by emailing dwchio@marketpulseintel.com. Our payment processor keeps payment records as required for tax and accounting.
When you request a free report, the record of the data ownership terms you accepted (your email, the store's license number, your IP address and the time) is kept as the record of that agreement, separately from the report itself.
